  2. Love the commercial. From what i see, hes basically saying "Here I am, hit me w/your best shot"...He definitely needs to face all the questions and criticisms head on, as there's no point in trying to stay secretive ne more now that he's playing in tourneys again. If he tries to stay behind a veil, the media is just gonna have a field day w/him.

  3. So i just found out that the voice talking to Tiger is his dad who has been dead for a while? Not sure how much that changes things, I still kinda see it as him putting himself out there. Whatcha think?

  4. Im indifferent about it. im so tired of tiger's life in the media/news its gotten ridiculous.. Tiger got and is famous for one thing..Playing Golf! not his indiscretions off the course. but i also like how he can stand up and face the reality and consequences of his actions. I think this will be a multi part commercial though. And its a Nike commercial they are always memorable or controversial

  5. I defiently like this commercial. Its brought up a lot of contraveresy because his dad is dead but I think that makes it that much more real. for one I think people need to stop saying that its bad cuz he is dead. tiger signed off on it so let it go. and secondly it tells me that tiger wants his dad here to actually give him that lecture in real life. He was his biggest influence and he can learn a lesson from his dad even if he is desd. straighten him out. I think this was a good idea adn was very effective.

  6. Thank you guys for the comments! I do agree with some that you said. I took a Communications class where we went in dept into commercials and now I can't watch a commercial without analyzing the hell out of it. But here's what I got of the commercial.

As many know, I am a HUGE Nike fan! Most of their athletes are my favorite and they make the best of quality athletic gear, (shoes in perticular).
But Nike is saving their ass, and maybe some of Tiger's. How so?
Well Tiger has been in the spotlight for past months now as we see. And he has lost A LOT of sponsorships. Gatoriade (for now), Gilette, and Buick. But Nike never said they would support or drop Tiger. Until now.
Nike is Tiger's biggest sponsor, he even has his own Tiger Line. And Tiger is too great of an athlete to drop.
But the commercial that Nike put out, makes Tiger a victum. Makes people sorry for him. Tiger doesn't smile one time in the commercial. The voice asking questions: yes is his father Earl Woods who passed away in 2006. A father son bond that was amazing for sports. And now Tiger is almost getting lectured. (Almost like a child). When you see parents yelling at a kid for them doing something wrong you almost feel bad for the kid. Since Tiger has a lot of fans that he let down, he kind of has to gain their respect back. This commercial helped because Nike played the SYMPATHY card. The commercial was aired right before the masters. I wonder how it made an imapact on his fans. (He did get a good greating on Thursday afternoon on his first shot.)
I could go on and on about the commercial, in ways that you guys might get bored. Like on what interview they used for the commercial. And what words Earl said that Nike used. But I only will if you guys have questions.

Nike's comercial was well thought out, marketed and aired. Everyone is probably sick of all of the Tiger talk but its news and it sells. Frankly, I'm sick of it too. But hopefully after his comeback to golf it will slowly go away. He finished 4th. Not too bad for being out for 5 months. I expected him to finish in the top ten. Like mentioned before, hopefully it all blows over!
